The New York Times bestselling author of I Hope They Serve Beer in Hell and Assholes Finish First delivers a new collection of thirty 100% true, 100% exclusive stories of comically perverse excess. Another installment in Tucker Max’s series of stories about his drunken debauchery and ridiculous antics. What began as a simple sentence on an obscure website, “My name is Tucker Max, and I am an asshole,” and developed into two infamously genre-defining books, I Hope They Serve Beer In Hell and Assholes Finish First, ends here. But as you should expect from Tucker by now, he is going out with a bang—literally and figuratively. In this book, you’ll learn: * How to live and work in Cancun, while still enrolled in Law School * Why Halloween is really awesome * How to subtly torture a highstrung roommate until he explodes with furious anger over a misplaced condiment * What really happened when a dirty pageant girl tried to sue Tucker because he told the truth * Why you should never accept a homemade treat from a hippie with a van As we’ve come to learn from Tucker, assholes do finish first...but everything comes with a price.

ABOUT THE BOOK Hilarity Ensues is Tucker Maxs third book in a series that has created a new literary genre called fratire. Fratire doesnt necessarily have to involve guys in fraternities (even though it is derived from the word), but it is about the drunken debauchery of young adult males who only focus on alcohol and sex. Defining this genre and revelling in it has made Tucker Max a rich, famous man. This is his last book in this genre, because he claims the book does not represent who he is anymore. All three of his books are really just a collection of short stories that are claimed to be autobiographical (some people dont believe that for a second) and have no real link except for the characters and general themes of demeaning women and sleeping with anyone. MEET THE AUTHOR Nolan Collins grew up in South Carolina and attended the great University of South Carolina in Columbia. There, he learned that his love for writing and story telling was something that he needed to pursue as a career. EXCERPT FROM THE BOOK There are countless other entertaining anecdotes in the pages of Hilarity Ensues, but a lot of them, while funny, are also very sad. It seems like Tucker is having a great time, but his life is so empty and that he is borderline sociopathic due to his seeming lack of conscience. More importantly, the book makes me feel bad for the all of Tuckers victims. The women he constantly berates, belittles, abuses (emotionally), and demeans dont always deserve it. Sometimes they do, but very few. Im sure there is more to Tucker emotionally than what he writes about and he even says that he leaves those things out because he doesnt want to ruin the funny parts. But it would be much more interesting to see how this lifestyle has affected Tucker on an emotional level. Unfortunately, he stays away from that like the plague. Here's Johnny is like sitting with Ed and Johnny over lunch: The last time I saw Johnny, about a year before he died, we had chicken, a couple of glasses of red wine, and then we just sat there and reminisced, going back and forth the way we did on the show. We talked about our kids, and our careers and the state of America, just two lucky guys who loved each other and the good luck of our careers. Ed McMahon is the only person who was with Johnny Carson, even before The Tonight Show, when they both first appeared on Who Do You Trust. Now, with Johnny's blessing before he died, McMahon can finally share all the stories that only he knows. From the sofa at Johnny's right, to backstage, to their personal relationship - McMahon will provide a real view of the man who was so careful to only show one side of himself to the public. Brilliant in front of the camera, but shy in person, Carson seldom gave interviews. Only McMahon can tell the stories and provide the insights into the personality that made Johnny Carson more of a friend we invited into our home than a television star. This entertaining tribute will feature over 200 pictures, many never before published, from both McMahon's and Carson's private archives.

Whether drinking Red Bull, relieving chronic pain with oxycodone, or experimenting with Ecstasy, Americans participate in a culture of self-medication, using psychoactive substances to enhance or manage our moods. A drug-free America seems to be a fantasyland that most people dont want to inhabit. High: Drugs, Desire, and a Nation of Users asks fundamental questions about US drug policies and social norms. Why do we endorse the use of some drugs and criminalize others? Why do we accept the necessity of a doctor-prescribed opiate but not the same thing bought off the street? This divided approach shapes public policy, the justice system, research, social services, and health care. And despite the decades-old war on drugs, drug use remains relatively unchanged. Ingrid Walker speaks to the silencing effects of both criminalization and medicalization, incorporating first-person narratives to show a wide variety of user experiences with drugs. By challenging current thinking about drugs and users, Walker calls for a next wave of drug policy reform in the United States, beginning with recognizing the full spectrum of drug use practices.
