It is just as important to learn how to receive a blessing as it is to be willing to give one. So teaches John Osteen in this eye-opening book. Growing up during The Great Depression, John's mentality was shaped by frugality that seeped even into his spiritual life. When God tried to bless and increase his life, he struggled with receiving the abundance of God. But the Bible shows us example after example of those whom God blesses after they lose everything. God wants to shower us with abundance: Grace for Your Every Need Forgiveness for Every Relationship Righteousness for Every Accusation of Satan Joy for Your Heartache and Pain Provision for Your Every Lack Love to Reach Out to Others Power for Your Weakness The Holy Spirit for Changing the World Abundant Freedom for Every Stronghold Miracles for Your Impossibilities Using practical application and divine verification from the Bible, John Osteen shows readers how to embrace the abundance of God in every aspect of their lives.

A survey was made during the summer of 1958 to assess the abundance of hard clams, Venus (Mercenaria) mercenaria, in Nantucket Sound, Massachusetts. A jet (hydraulic) dredge was used as the principal sampling gear. Data from 214 sample stations compared with other Atlantic coast areas indicated that the abundance of hard clams in Nantucket Sound was extremely low. The survey revealed no new general areas of commercial abundance. No clams less than 60 millimeters (2 3/8 inches) were caught. Because of hydrographic conditions unfavorable for spawning and setting and because there are few small clams to augment the present stocks, the future of this fishery is uncertain.

The Memorial of the Abundance of the Divine Sweetness

Gertrud the Great (1256–1302) entered the monastery of Helfta in eastern Germany as a child oblate. At the age of twenty-five she underwent a conversion that led to a series of visionary experiences, some of which she recorded in Latin “with her own hand,” in what became Book Two of The Herald of God’s Loving-Kindness, the standard version of her revelations. The other four books were written down by a close confidant of the saint, now often known as "Sister N." Recently a different version of Gertrud's revelations has been discovered, in an early fourteenth-century manuscript held at the University of Leipzig, Germany, much older than the known manuscripts of The Herald. The Memorial of the Abundance of the Divine Sweetness is shorter than The Herald, and while the two versions have some text in common (notably most of The Herald's Book Two), the new manuscript also contains some completely new material, which sometimes modifies and sometimes complements what readers already know of the saint.

The writer considers abundance as a concept that injects satisfaction and hope in the minds of all mankind. He is just excited with the expression ‘abundance.' He has immersed himself in the research of this concept. He therefore feels obliged to explain to his readers that the abundance mindset is the source of the abundance in our society. He feels that his duty to mankind calls on him to encourage his readers to acquire the abundance mindset as they seek abundance in wealth, position and influence. The abundance mindset is positive, optimistic, expansive, growth oriented and proactive. It is characterized the humanizing qualities of solidarity, sharing, cooperation, mutuality and human interdependence. Without these values in human hearts, the wealth that society produces no matter how plentiful, is hoarded, used greedily, egoistically and jealously by 'the powerful' in our society, bringing society back to poverty, want and scarcity. Acquiring the abundance mindset makes mankind want to share, care, excise solidarity and cooperation and in this way, abundance is multiplied in our society. The author has expanded on these themes deeply in this text making it useful to all categories of adult readers.
